Family owned and operated locally in Overland Park, KS, Zach's Temp Control LLC is a full service, professional HVAC company specializing in residential and light commercial properties. We proudly serve Johnson County, KS, and surrounding areas. We believe in the value of temperature control in every season because "there's no place like home."

Background:

Zach Ball, Owner/Operator

I moved to the Kansas City metro at the beginning of 2014 (from my hometown of Wichita) to help a small playground equipment business open a new location. I married my wife, Stephanie in 2015 and was offered an HVAC apprenticeship through an experienced and licensed contractor. I spent a little over 2 1/2 years learning and perfecting the trade directly under him through installs, replacements, service, and repairs.

Due to a long commute and our first child, Zoey, on the way, I took a job with an HVAC distributor selling equipment, tools, and supplies to contractors, including my former boss.

​

A little over a year in to that role, I was approached by another heating and cooling contractor whose growing business needed a lead technician. I accepted his offer. 

​

We were blessed with our second child, Brooklyn, in 2021. With not only a growing family, but also an expanded skill set, I desired more independence and personal responsibility in my work and decided to move forward in a new direction. I went on to pass my Masters Mechanical HVAC license exam, opening the door for me to start my own business.

​

I'm not the first in my family to pursue HVAC as a career. My grandpa, "Pa", moved his family to the island of Bermuda in order to manage the only heating and cooling company on the island.

My uncle, on my other side of the family, was once the youngest person in the state of Kansas to receive his Master Mechanical license at the age of 18. He still operates a successful HVAC business to this day. His son, my cousin, is currently a technical support specialist for a large residential HVAC manufacturer.
